"And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."
(2 Tim 2:2 / NASB)
Timothy Training International and Inspirata Publishing (Hong Kong) Limited are joining hands. Founded on the Word of God, they are like the two rails of a train track and as a spiritual train moving forward, providing high quality theological education and various Christian literary resources for Mainland Chinese pastors.
TTi’s ministry has three main components: seminars in Hong Kong, digital seminars in Mainland China, and online courses. (Our online courses are still being developed.) In the future, TTi students can choose from one or the combination of these three components to design their preferred method of theological study.
The educational philosophy of TTi is built upon 2 Timothy 2:2 - “Entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also”. Our goal is to make use of these seminars, and the ministry of the Word by our students in their local churches, to transmit the Word of God faithfully to His people from one generation to another.
Inspirata Publishing also has three ministry components: printed books publishing, electronic publishing, and electronic library. These ministries are set up in light of the present needs in Mainland churches for Chinese theological resources. We hope to enable Chinese pastors and believers to have quicker and more efficient access to more high quality theological materials.
TTi has served the Chinese church for 15 years. We hope those who share the same vision would be willing to join our team. We also hope that you would continue to pray for and support us financially.
To bring a deep knowledge of the meaning of God’s Word and the practice of Christian ministry to church pastors in China.
In seminar format we bring to China the best of evangelical scholarship on the Bible, biblical theology, biblical interpretation, and methods of ministry.
Digital seminars are organized in class settings through the sponsorship of local churches and seminaries. Each digital course is 30 hours in length and includes a student manual for taking notes. A small group of local pastors and bible study leaders gather to complete the course with the help of local facilitators over periods of 5 days, 2 weeks, 5 weeks, or a pre-determined time frame.
We are averaging a total of 84 students, attending 1 simultaneous courses, in each biannual seminar. Following is the student demographics of our Jan 2018 seminar.

TTi was founded by Janson Chan who is now serving as the Executive Director of our ministries. In early 2001, Janson was helped by his two former professors, Dr. Duane Elmer and Dr. Grant Osborne to organize seminars, training church pastors and leaders in China.
One distinguishing feature of this training is the use of world-class, evangelical bible scholars. In 2005, a systematic curriculum was established consisting of Bible books for the biannual training. In 2008, we moved to Hong Kong and registered in the USA to become a non-profit organization. By the grace of God, our ministry continues to grow to include two seminars every year held in Hong Kong, with three courses in each seminar.
In 2011, we added the use of digital courses to our training. These digital courses were made from video recordings of our live seminars. They are offered in China in small class settings with the sponsorship of local churches or seminaries. Enrollment for these courses is limited to local pastors and Bible study group leaders.
We have a board of directors and our executive director is accountable to the board for his guidance and development of our ministries. Our board of directors include Dr. Grant Osborne (board chairman), Dr. Richard Averbeck (Secretary), Dr. George Guthrie, Dr. Hanry Yu and Dr. Martin Klauber. We also have an advisory council that includes Dr. Duane Elmer and Dr. David Pao.
TTi is interdenominational and is independent, with no affiliation to any local church, seminary or missions organization.
*TTi is not associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America, but we have adopted their pre-2008 statement of faith as expressing well our own convictions of biblical truth.
We have been offering courses on the Masters level. Students are required to complete their pre-course, practicum, and post-course assignments in addition to their attendance at the 8 days seminar. We are building an electronic library that aims to provide electronic resources for reading and research for our students. Our plan is to apply to Asia Theological Association (ATA) for accreditation in two years.
